Clinical signs of canine parainfluenza

Canine parainfluenza virus infection is a respiratory tract infection in dogs characterized by coughing, runny nose and fever caused by canine parainfluenza virus. There is often a sudden onset of coughing of varying frequency and degree, as well as varying degrees of decreased appetite and fever, followed by the development of plasma, mucus or even purulent nasal discharge. It often recovers spontaneously in 3 to 7 days, and the cough may persist for weeks or even lead to death after secondary infection.

Canine Parainfluenza Treatment Options
